Kate Wiltz is a program manager at the Eppley Center for Parks and Public Lands at the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community at Indiana University.
Throughout her tenure at Eppley, Kate has managed and contributed to several projects, including designing and developing professional training and visitor education on a variety of topics, including wilderness management, resource protection and stewardship, instruction and group facilitation, and accessibility in recreational settings. She has led strategic planning efforts in university and government settings and facilitates participant engagement for program improvement and evaluation in parks and public lands. Kate also manages Eppley’s catalog of online continuing and professional education coursework offered to the public.

Kate holds a BA degree in Anthropology and Environmental Studies from Indiana University and a MS degree in Natural Resources with an emphasis in Environmental Communication, Education, and Interpretation from Ohio State University. Most of Kate’s time outside of Eppley is spent working on issues with County government in her role on the County Council. She is also on the Board of Heading Home of South Central Indiana and the Monroe County Health Equity Council. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, visiting with her children, and traveling.
